Sometime around May 2007, upon my graduation from college I decided to apply to the Peace Corps. I had been thinking about it for over a year before then. Now on April 18, 2008 I will be flying to Botswana to begin two years working as a Community Capacity Building Volunteer on the Home Based and Orphan Care/ Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS Program.
Communication is sometimes hard to come by in Africa. Hopefully this will be an easy way to stay in touch with those I care about.
I will spend the first three months of 27, in the capital city of Gaborone. After that, only time will tell where I will be placed within the country.
